$10,000 in New Scholarships for Local Women

CFUW Orillia Education Foundation’s Scholarship Fund has received a $10,000 donation from the Frank H. Hori Charitable Foundation. This generous gift will fund three new scholarships for local women entering post-secondary education. “We are thankful to the Frank H. Hori Charitable Foundation for this generous gift to support the educational aspirations of local women,” said Marci Csumrik, president of the CFUW Orillia Education Foundation.

Established in 1999, the Frank H. Hori Charitable Foundation reflects the values and vision of the late Frank H. Hori, whose life demonstrated a deep commitment to community service and social responsibility. “Our foundation has provided bursaries and scholarships to post-secondary schools nationwide for years, supporting our mission to empower youth,” said Donna Hori, a trustee of the Frank H. Hori Charitable Foundation. “This time, backing the CFUW Orillia Education Foundation is especially rewarding, as it lets me meet the scholarship recipients and know we’re helping local women gain skills that can enrich our community.”
